OREANDA-NEWS Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Russian government will continue to fulfill all social obligations, RIA Novosti reported.

Mishustin added that the cabinet also plans to continue pursuing a balanced budget policy and the formation of a financial framework that will allow the Russian economy to resume sustainable development after the end of the adaptation period.

The prime minister emphasized that under the current conditions of sanctions measures it is necessary to maintain financial price stability, for which systemic decisions have been taken to adapt the economy to new realities and challenges.

Earlier Mishustin said that the Russian economy is coping with the impact of sanctions, adapting to new challenges. According to him, the government for three months included more than 300 measures in the plan of priority actions to support the Russian economy under the sanctions.

Prior to that, Andrey Klimov, head of the Federation Council Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation, said that Russia's response to sanctions by Western countries should be as effective as possible.
