OREANDA-NEWS The neighboring countries of the European Union (EU) violate the rights of Belarusians to freedom of movement by imposing restrictions and closing checkpoints. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Anatoly Glaze accused Brussels of violating the rights of citizens of Belarus, BelTA reports.

"Bullying of citizens at the border continues to this day. At the initiative of these countries, almost all border crossings on the border with Belarus have been closed. (...) Our neighbors extraterritorially violate the rights of Belarusian citizens," the diplomat's words are quoted in the publication.

He added that Minsk intends to "rigidly force" the EU countries to fulfill their obligations under international treaties.

Earlier, Minsk called on the EU to influence Kiev and force it to abandon provocations on the Belarusian border. According to the representative of Belarus to the UN, Valentin Rybakov, the escalation is fraught with a serious expansion of the conflict, including to the European Union.
