OREANDA-NEWS  The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, in an interview with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias, expressed solidarity in the fight against forest fires in Greece. 

The Turkish Foreign Ministry reported that the telephone conversation between the heads of the foreign ministries took place on the initiative of the Turkish side. 

Dendias neither wrote about the telephone conversation with Cavusoglu on Twitter. “Greece and Turkey are ready to provide each other with all possible assistance in the fight against forest fires, with an emphasis on extinguishing fires in their own countries”, - Dendias wrote.

Earlier, on July 29, the head of Greek diplomacy called Cavusoglu and expressed condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the wildfires in Turkey.
