US President Donald Trump has signed a decree imposing new sanctions against Russia in connection with the Skripals affair, Politico writes citing two US officials.

Trump introduced the first package of restrictions under the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control Act of 1991 last year. This document suggests that the president should introduce a second stage of restrictions if there are no guarantees that the state has stopped using chemical weapons.
