OREANDA-NEWS. The first person to get coronavirus infection worked in one of the laboratories in Wuhan, China, which initially became the epicenter of the disease. This was reported by Fox News with reference to several sources familiar with the decisions of the Chinese authorities and having seen the relevant documents.
The channel notes that the virus “didn't originate in the laboratory as a biological weapon,” but as a result of China’s attempts to surpass the United States in its efforts to detect and combat viruses. Fox News sources said the infection was transmitted from bats to humans, and the “Patient Zero” then spread to other people in Wuhan.
Initially, the seafood market was featured in virus reports. The Chinese publication claimed that the first person whose coronavirus was confirmed in December was a woman who traded shrimp there. Fox News points out that bats were never sold there, and the channel’s interlocutors said that placing market responsibility on the spread of infection was necessary to mask the lab’s guilt.
