OREANDA-NEWS. The committee of the British Parliament on the activities of intelligence and security services did not find objective evidence of Russia's interference in British politics. This was reported on Wednesday by the American News Agency, citing sources familiar with the content of the committee’s report on threats that Moscow could allegedly pose to British democracy.
The report in question has not yet been made public, although on October 17 it was submitted for approval to the Office of the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and before that it had already been approved for publication by the British secret services. Last week, the former Attorney General of England and Wales, Dominic Greave, who is the head of the committee, accused Johnson of preventing the publication of the report.
According to British political observers, if the document contains any indications that Moscow could influence the results of the Brexit referendum held in 2016, one of the main points of the ruling Conservative Party - the need to respect the will of the British people and implement Brexit , which was supported by the majority of plebiscite participants.
