OREANDA-NEWS  The sovereignty of Belarus is inviolable, while the country will never become an enemy of Russia. Enmity between neighboring states was ruled out by President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting on Belarusian-Russian cooperation, BelTA reports.

Lukashenko stressed that there are no encroachments on Belarusian independence in the programs of the Union State. "Yes, we are with Russia. As a sovereign and independent state," the head of state said.

Earlier, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexey Gromov allowed Minsk to participate in the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, Belarus is holding events that may indicate the preparation of the republic for hostilities.
