OREANDA-NEWS  President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about his desire to visit Antarctica. BelTA writes about this.

"I would like to visit this pole of our planet with great pleasure, if I think about it like that. Maybe someday we will meet there," the Belarusian leader admitted at a meeting with scientists and participants of the Belarusian Antarctic expeditions.

Lukashenko also said that he was interested in climate and environmental forecasts regarding Antarctica, biodiversity issues and the peculiarities of the survival of organisms on the mainland.

Earlier, Lukashenko called space Belarusian. The head of state made the corresponding statement at the solemn ceremony honoring the Belarusian cosmonauts.
