OREANDA-NEWS. The West has no moral right to tell Belarus how to live, said President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko.

As Lukashenko said at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly: “I will say one thing: after the storming of the Capitol, the harsh crackdown on demonstrations in Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the imprisonment of people in quarantine dungeons, Western countries have neither the political nor the moral right to tell us what nor for others how to live and run the state. They need to understand themselves first of all."

The Sixth All-Belarusian People's Assembly on Thursday began work in the Palace of the Republic in Minsk, the large-scale forum will last two days.

After the elections, some Western countries introduced sanctions against certain Belarusian officials and state-owned enterprises. Minsk announced a mirror response to the sanctions. The Belarusian authorities have repeatedly stated that the protests in the country are being coordinated from abroad. Lukashenka accused the West of direct interference in the situation in the republic, noted that the unrest is directed by the United States, and the Europeans "play along" with it. Among the countries from which the protest actions are coordinated, Lukashenka named Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Ukraine.
