OREANDA-NEWS  The head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Gabrielius Landsbergis, wanted to prove Russian President Vladimir Putin wrong and offered to allow Ukraine to attack targets deep in Russian territory. The corresponding publication appeared on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

"Now is the right moment to prove that he is wrong by giving Ukraine our best weapons and permission to hit military targets as deeply as necessary," the diplomat wrote.

According to him, the Russian leader expects a weak reaction from the West and the predictability of decisions by Kiev's partners.

Earlier, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that the visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Moscow harms the country's authority. "The unilateral decision of Prime Minister Viktor Orban to go to Moscow in no way reflects the position of the European Union. This harms the credibility of Hungary's presidency of the EU Council," Nauseda said.
