OREANDA-NEWS  Lithuania has placed a second defensive fortification called "dragon's teeth" on the border with Russia. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Republic Laurinas Kashchiunas on his Facebook page (a social network banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned).

New fortifications were erected on the bypass bridge near the city of Panyamune, which is located on the border with Russia. The countries on this section of the border are separated by the Neman River.

"The dragon's teeth will eventually be supplemented with iron beams that will be recessed and secured. The Lithuanian military is now checking them, assessing how they can contain the advancing heavy equipment," the head of the republic's defense department wrote.

Kashchiunas added that the "dragon's teeth" will be supplemented in the future with "iron hedgehogs" that will be fixed in the asphalt.

On September 5, Laurinas Kaschiunas announced that Lithuania had placed the first defensive fortifications "dragon's teeth" in the city of Panamun on the border with Russia. The fortifications were placed in front of the Queen Louise Bridge. According to Kashchiunas, the barriers installed can help stop the alleged aggression from Russia.
