Lithuania and Latvia overtook Belgium and the Czech Republic in terms of beer exports to Russia

OREANDA-NEWS Lithuania and Latvia, thanks to an active increase in supplies, managed to move Belgium and the Czech Republic in the ranking of the largest beer exporters to Russia, RIA Novosti found out after examining open statistical data for ten months of 2022-2023.
Germany is the largest supplier of foam drink in the Russian Federation. In both 2022 and 2023, it accounted for more than a third of all imports from the Russian Federation, and compared to 2022, the country managed not only to increase supplies by 32%, to $ 96 million, but also to increase its share in the total volume compared to other countries by 4.7 percentage points.
Lithuania is right behind it, which accounted for just over 15% of all shipments in 2023 - 36.5 million dollars. Compared to the same period in 2022, the country managed to increase exports very noticeably: it jumped 1.9 times at once, and Belgium managed to say goodbye to the second place in the ranking, placing fourth. In 2023, it increased supplies by only 11%, to $26.6 million.
Latvia took the third position with about the same share, but with much more noticeable dynamics: during the reporting period, the Baltic Republic increased its supplies almost fourfold, to $ 34.4 million. Thanks to such a noticeable growth, the Czech Republic had to forget about the third place and land on the fifth with a supply volume of $ 26.4 million and an increase of the same 11%.
Compared with 2022, Poland, which is in sixth place, managed to increase shipments very noticeably: its supplies doubled to 5.3 million dollars. Finland also showed good dynamics, doubling, increasing exports to almost $ 2 million. In the ranking of the largest beer suppliers, the country was in ninth place.
