OREANDA-NEWS As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told, heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan willingly confirmed their participation in consultations in Moscow, which will take place on Friday. At the moment, active preparations are underway for this event. The both states will be presented by their Foreign Ministers, who will be discussing the difficult current situation in Nagorno Karabakh.

She affirmed, that both Baku and Yerevan officially confirmed their participation in the consultations in Moscow, offered by the Russian president. Vladimir Putin himself invited the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan to Moscow for consultations on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh with the active mediation and close support of the Russian Foreign Minister, considering that his assistanse can smooth things over. Active preparation for these negotiations is currently taking place in the capital.

As the news of the previous days say, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh got much worse on September 27, and at the moment active battles and military clashes are going on in the disputed territory. Martial law was introduced in Azerbaijan and Armenia, and mobilization of the population of both countries was announced. Both sides inform about a number of the killed and wounded, including civilians.
