OREANDA-NEWS The Latvian government approved the transfer of air defense systems, tactical unmanned surveillance systems and other logistical means from the resources of the National Armed Forces to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at a closed meeting on Tuesday, Prime Minister Evika Silina said on social networks.
She noted that this would help improve Ukraine's air defense and intelligence capabilities.
Latvia allocates 0.25% of gross domestic product to Ukraine for military assistance and will continue to support it both bilaterally and together with allies, Silina said.
Last year, Latvia transferred helicopters, machine guns, unmanned aerial vehicles, self-propelled howitzers and other weapons to Ukraine.
