OREANDA-NEWS The Latvian authorities will consider banning Russians from buying real estate in the country. This is reported by the Delfi news portal.

The government coalition agreed to analyze the example of Finland, which recently banned private and legal entities from Russia from purchasing real estate in the country. It is proposed to assess the possibility of introducing similar restrictions at the legislative level in Latvia. The discussion of the issue was initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic.

Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Riga reacted to the confiscation of Moscow's House in Latvia. The ministry said that such a decision created a dangerous precedent and sent a signal to foreign investors that their property in the country is not protected.
