Kremlin Reacted to Reports of Difficulties with Putin's Plane in Beijing
"Everything is fine," the press secretary of the head of state assured, refuting information about problems with Putin's arrival in China.
Earlier on February 4, Dmitry Smirnov, a journalist from the Kremlin pool, reported in his Telegram-channel that the plane on which the Russian leader arrived in the capital of the People's Republic of China shook during landing.
Putin flew to Beijing to take part in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games and hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
A day earlier, on February 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized attempts by a number of countries to politicize the Olympics and said that sport should unite people, as well as give them moments of pride for the country. The leader also stressed that China's rich experience will allow the country to hold the Games at a high level. His article for the Chinese news agency "Xinhua" was published on the Kremlin's website. The President wished the Russian and Chinese national teams new records and impressive results.
