OREANDA-NEWS.86 items belonging to the basketball player Kobe Bryant, who died in a plane crash, are put up for auction in the USA Goldin Auctions. It's reported by ESPN with reference to the founder of the auction house Ken Goldin.
“It seems to us that the collection of Kobe Bryant memorabilia we have collected is the largest in history”, Goldin said. Bryant's game shirts, his sneakers, and a gold ring with eight 14-carat diamonds engraved with the player’s name, which he was awarded for winning the 2012 London Olympics, are on sale. The auction will last until May 16.
The most expensive item is the sneakers in which Bryant played in the fifth match of the 2001 NBA playoffs against the Philadelphia Sixers. Their price reached $ 28 thousand. The cheapest is a basketball signed by Bryant ($ 125). According to Goldin, 5% of the proceeds from the sale of each lot will be transferred to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, created by the widow of Bryant Vanessa after the death of her husband and daughter.
