OREANDA-NEWS. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson called the topic of the alleged interference of foreign states, including Russia, in British politics. "I’m not aware of any evidence that Russia or any other state made successful or unsuccessful attempts to interfere in the politics of this country", Johnson said in an interview with LBC radio on Friday, adding that this topic seems to him "overly bloated".

According to Johnson, evidence of Russian interference in the kingdom’s policy is not contained in the report, which was prepared by the inter-party committee of the British Parliament on the activities of intelligence and security services. According to British media, an as-yet-unpublished document, which has been worked on for a year and a half, is devoted to the threats that Moscow may allegedly pose to British democracy.

Johnson has already stated several times that there is no evidence of Russian interference in the British election or the Brexit referendum held in 2016. Earlier, his predecessor Theresa May, who headed the country's government from July 2016 to July 2019, repeatedly spoke about this.
