Japan will continue the policy of sanctions against Russia

The head of the Japanese government announced plans of the G7 countries to unite to fight various global challenges. "To this end, we will work together to overcome the energy and food crises in the global economy. In addition, we will continue to actively promote sanctions against Russia and support for Ukraine," he said.
Kishida also added that at the summit of the Group of Seven in Hiroshima, which will be held in May, he is going to show his intention to lead the efforts of countries to create a world free of nuclear weapons.
Earlier it became known that the Japanese government decided to help the population of Ukraine in winter and sent 262 generators to maintain the operation of the country's power systems. The country's Foreign Ministry stressed that Tokyo will continue to support Ukrainian citizens.
