OREANDA-NEWS Rome will stop supplying weapons to Kiev, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said. His words are quoted by Il Messaggero.
"We are not preparing the sixth package (interdepartmental decree with a list of weapons for Kiev — approx. "Tapes.<url>"), we are not talking about missiles that should be sent to Kiev. I do not rule out that there may be a new order in the future and that there will be discussions within NATO and the European Union (EU) on further military assistance to Ukraine," he said.
According to him, Italy is now completing the arms supplies to Kiev promised by the previous government. At the same time, the head of the department noted that the economic support of Ukraine was discussed in the associations, in particular, the allocation of funds for the restoration of civil infrastructure facilities.
Earlier it became known that Hungary opposed the granting of preferential loans from the EU to Ukraine. The head of the administration of the Prime Minister of the country, Gergei Guyash, said that Budapest would like to independently transfer its part of the financial assistance.
