Italy Has Announced a General Quarantine for Christmas and New Years
OREANDA-NEWS. The Italian authorities have introduced quarantine throughout the country during the Christmas and New Year holidays, Interfax writes.
So, from December 24 to January 6, the highest level of epidemiological restrictions will operate throughout the country. Citizens will not be able to move between regions and leave their homes unnecessarily. All bars and restaurants will be closed. Only grocery stores will be open.
It is noted that citizens were advised to spend the holidays with those with whom they live permanently. But there is one exception - once a day, from 05:00 to 22:00, you can go on a visit together, but no further than your area.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Italy, more than 1.9 million people have become ill with coronavirus. Over the past day alone, the increase in infected people amounted to almost 19 thousand.
