OREANDA-NEWS Spain has deployed its soldiers to Slovakia as part of NATO's efforts against Russia. This is reported by ABC.

"Together with NATO's efforts, Spain's presence on the eastern flank of the alliance has grown exponentially. The last step is the deployment of a [Spanish] contingent in Slovakia, consisting of more than 780 soldiers," the article says.

It is noted that the "multinational battalion" created by Madrid includes Portuguese, Czech, Slovak and Slovenian military.

Earlier, Acting director of the Department of Pan-European Cooperation of the Russian Foreign Ministry Igor Kopyrin said that NATO member countries are increasing their military power under the pretext of an alleged threat from Russia.
