“I am glad to welcome the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who accepted my invitation on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. We share the desire to educate future generations and fight those who deny the Holocaust”, he said.

On Friday, Zelensky and his wife Elena also intend to visit the Yad Vashem memorial complex. On Thursday, the complex hosted the fifth World Holocaust Remembrance Forum, but the Ukrainian leader was not present. In his Telegram channel, he said that the Ukrainian delegation decided to transfer their seats in the hall to eyewitnesses of tragic events who could not get to the event due to the limited number of seats.
