OREANDA-NEWS. The Israeli embassy in Moscow will temporarily stop working due to financial problems, it follows from the message of the diplomatic mission on Facebook. The reason was the disagreement with the Ministry of Finance of Israel.

“In connection with the decision of the Ministry of Finance of Israel to violate the agreements agreed upon and signed by the Director General of the Ministry of Finance on July 21, 2019 and oblige the envoys of the State of Israel serving abroad to unilaterally observe new instructions that contradict the previously achieved conditions and violate the order that has existed for several decades, we are forced to close the embassy​​”, the report said.

All other diplomatic missions of the country do the same. For example, due to the strike, the Israeli embassy in Ukraine also refused to work - a message was posted on Facebook with similar information. As the Israeli Channel 9 explains, employees of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense announced a strike. Their discontent was caused by the decision of the Ministry of Finance to reduce the costs of maintaining diplomats and other representatives of Israel around the world. The agency also plans to set new reporting standards.
