OREANDA-NEWS. The Israeli Embassy in Moscow resumed work as usual after the strike ended. This is stated in the message of the diplomatic mission on Facebook distributed on Friday. "The strike has ended. From today, the Israeli embassy in Moscow resumes its work as usual", the embassy noted. On Thursday, Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Nitzar Amer told the Russian media that all Israeli embassies would resume work on November 1.
On October 30 and 31, due to a labor conflict with the country's Finance Ministry, all 103 Israeli diplomatic missions around the world, including the embassy in Moscow and the consulate general in St. Petersburg, were closed. The Israeli Foreign Ministry then said that the decision to change the working order of diplomatic missions and the procedures for their financing is detrimental to the fundamental tools of the department and the country as a whole.
In March 2014, all Israeli diplomatic missions were closed, including embassies, consulates and representative offices of international organizations, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. For several years, Israeli diplomats sought from the government and the Ministry of Finance to improve wage conditions. In August 2018, support staff went on strike at Israeli embassies around the world.
