OREANDA-NEWS  The European Union (EU) intends to adopt a new package of sanctions against Russia closer to February 24 of this year — the second anniversary of the start of the special military operation in Ukraine. This is stated in the material Der Spiegel.

According to the German edition, the EU plans to expand the sanctions list to include more than 200 individuals and legal entities. In order for the new restrictions to take effect, they must be supported by all 27 member countries of the association.
