This was reported by TASS news agency, citing a source in emergency service. He informed that the incident occurred in Thallmann Village in the Smidovichesky District during the training of the railway troops. According to him, the victims were sent to a hospital in Khabarovsk.

The information that a railway bridge collapsed was confirmed by a source of Interfax agency. “The bridge structures could not bear the load and collapsed. About 20 people were injured. There are no dead,” he said.

First deputy head of the Smidovichi District, Boris Korolev, said to Interfax that the military did not ask the civil administration for help. “The military does not allow anyone there, they resolve it on their own, since it is not our structure: they were building a pontoon bridge. We sent an ambulance car and a fire engine. They did not ask, we just reacted,” he explained.
