More than two hundred protesters in Abkhazia blocked traffic across the upper Gumistinsky bridge at the exit from Sukhum, through which the main republican highway passes to New Athos, Gagra and further to the border with Russia, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

"We decided to skip the ambulance, we also help pedestrians if they need to carry suitcases or other cargo, a transfer to Sochi and Sukhum has been organized," said Levan Inapshba, one of the demonstrators.

OREANDA-NEWS  According to the protesters, the blocking of the bridge will continue until the authorities fulfill their demand to release six activists from the temporary detention center.

The protesters, who oppose the ratification of the agreement with Russia on investments, blocked all three bridges over which roads lead from the Abkhazian capital. We are talking about the lower and upper Gumistinsky bridges on the western and northern outskirts of the city (they lead respectively to the village of Eshera and the main republican highway from Psou to Ingur), as well as the Kodori Bridge in the eastern part of Sukhum, which leads to the main republican highway towards Ochamchira and further to the Georgian border.
At the same time, protesters unblocked the Kodori Bridge this morning after the promise of deputies of the parliament of Beslan Emurkhba and the head of the Ochamchyrsky district Beslan Bigvava to facilitate the release of six protesters detained the day before from the temporary detention center.

On the eve of the Abkhaz parliament, the draft on the construction of multifunctional complexes was adopted in final reading, this document directly affects the implementation of the agreement with Moscow on the investment activities of Russian legal entities in the republic.
The agreement was signed on October 30, and the Abkhaz parliament is to ratify it. But the deputies decided before that to adopt a law regulating the construction of multifunctional complexes, which are provided for in the investment agreement.

The issue of ratification of the agreement "On investment activities of Russian legal entities in the Republic of Abkhazia", according to sources, will be considered by the Abkhaz Parliament on November 15.
