OREANDA-NEWS Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini expressed a common position that the conflict in Ukraine urgently needs to be stopped. This is reported by ANSA.

"The Minister of Infrastructure and League leader Matteo Salvini had a conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest for more than an hour," the article says.

According to the agency, the politicians first discussed the bilateral relations between Rome and Budapest, as well as issues related to the balance of power in the European Union. "Among other things, Salvini and Orban agreed on the need for an urgent end to the conflict in Ukraine," representatives of the Italian Deputy Prime Minister said.

Earlier, Swedish political scientist Gregg Simon expressed the opinion that the peace initiative of the Body on Ukraine has little chance of success. According to him, the reason for this is the dependent position of the European Union on the United States.
