OREANDA-NEWS The Chinese company Huawei has increased the number of vacancies in its Russian division for the first half of 2022 by 49% as compared to the same period of 2021, the Kommersant newspaper wrote.
The company increased the number of vacancies in information technology and communications by 33%. In service and installation of equipment the number of vacancies for new employees increased by 186%. Hiring of students and interns jumped by 132%. The company saw a 233% increase in the number of vacancies for electronics manufacturing and maintenance specialists.
Sergey Sukhman, president of Zelax, said in a conversation with the publication that due to the withdrawal of foreign companies many specialists entered the labor market, most of whom were taken by Huawei.
One of the largest telecom companies in the world has increased its vacancies despite the halting of equipment sales in the Russian market. At the end of March Huawei stopped concluding new contracts on network equipment supplies to Russian operators.
In June it was reported that Huawei had started closing stores in Russia. According to media reports, four of the 19 stores have ceased their work. One of the main reasons is said to be the depletion of stocks in the warehouses in the context of supply chain disruption.
