OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian economy is growing despite the next package of sanctions against Moscow, said Sevim Dagdelen, a member of the Bundestag from the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice party on the social network X.

"We have hurt ourselves again: after 13 packages of sanctions from the European Union, the Russian economy is growing, and Germany is weakening. Instead of ending this insane economic war, the Federal Government approved the 14th package. It's time to stop the crazy policy of the Traffic Light coalition," the politician wrote.

On Thursday, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the 14th package of sanctions against Russia would be "tough", affecting energy, technology, and banking services.
