Georgia Reported about Vaccination with AstraZeneca and Pfizer with Side Effects
OREANDA-NEWS. Disturbing side effects after vaccination against COVID-19 in Georgia were identified in 27 people. This was stated on Thursday by the head of the National Center for Disease Control of the country's Ministry of Health Amiran Gamkrelidze.
In Georgia, vaccination against coronavirus is carried out with two drugs - AstraZeneca and Pfizer. Following the tragic incident of a nurse who died, presumably from anaphylactic shock after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca, the rate of vaccination has slowed in Georgia. Nevertheless, the country's Ministry of Health urges citizens not to give up immunization, since it believes that otherwise the third wave of coronavirus could begin.
"Side effects and reactions can occur in a person after vaccination. To date, we have registered 27 such cases. Four of them were cases when intensive therapy was required, in three cases, hospitalization was required, and in two cases - resuscitation," Gamkrelidze said in during the online briefing.
At the same time, the Georgian Ministry of Health does not report from which of the two drugs used in Georgia for vaccination against COVID-19, AstraZeneca or Pfizer, side effects were observed.
