OREANDA-NEWS Employees of the French edition of Le Monde came under fire from the Azerbaijani side in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the head of the Center for Information and Public Relations of the Armenian Government Office Hovhannes Movsisyan, there are two injured among the journalists.

The journalists came under fire in the town of Martuni. They were taken to the city hospital after the accident.

"According to the unverified data, both of them are citizens of France," Movsisyan wrote on his Facebook page.

The information about the wounded journalists was confirmed by the Armenian government as well.

Except them, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Dozhd publication came under fire. According to his editor-in-chief Tikhon Dzyadko, his deputy Dmitry Elovsky is now in a bomb shelter. During the fire French and Russian journalists were in different cars. According to one of the Russian journalists, he stopped in the city center to interview local residents when explosions were heard a few dozen meters away from him. Some locals also could be injured.

Meanwhile, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported that the events in Nagorno-Karabakh are covered by about 200 journalists from 50 foreign media, and most of them have already come to Armenia.
