OREANDA-NEWS  France rejected Russia's request to hold a UN Security Council meeting on the downed Il-76 on January 24, the Russian permanent mission reported. It notes that France, in an attempt to cover up Ukraine, has scheduled a meeting on Il-76 for the evening of January 25.

According to the Russian permanent Mission, France is abusing its functions as chairman of the UN Security Council.
