OREANDA-NEWS The Finnish Ministry of Justice has approved a bill banning the sale of real estate to citizens whose countries have violated the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of another state and may threaten the security of Finland, including Russians. The document signed by Chancellor of Justice Tuomas Pejusti is published on the department's website.

The document says that the main purpose of this project is to protect the national security of Finland. In particular, by banning housing transactions for citizens of some EU countries and the European Economic Area.

It became known about the preparation of a bill banning Russians from transactions with Finnish real estate at the end of August. The restrictions will apply to the purchase of apartments, houses, land, retail and office real estate in a European country.
