OREANDA-NEWS. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Sunday did not comment on the provision by the United States of information that helped prevent terrorist attacks in Russia by recommending contacting the White House on this issue.
A corresponding response was received by a Russian media correspondent for a request to comment on a message from the Kremlin press service that Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked him in a telephone conversation with U.S. leader Donald Trump for the information transmitted through the special services that helped prevent terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation.
Responding to a request from a media correspondent for details of the transmission of this information, FBI spokeswoman Tina Jagerson said: “We are grateful that you contacted the FBI press service, but we will refer you to the White House upon your request.” The press service of the White House hasn't yet responded to the corresponding request from a media correspondent.
On October 17, Director of the FSB of Russia Alexander Bortnikov reported that the United States shared information with Russia on a number of specific individuals who prepared terrorist crimes in the Russian Federation, as part of the constant contacts of the special services in the anti-terrorist direction. He stressed that such an exchange isn't the first time.
