OREANDA-NEWS. The representative of GML, Jonathan Hill, told Russian media that the shareholders seized in the Netherlands jurisdiction the vodka brands Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya owned by Russia through the federal state-owned enterprise Soyuzplodoimport.

These brands can be sold at a public auction in September, and the proceeds will go to former Yukos shareholders to repay compensation of $ 50 billion, Hill said.

The arrest of brands at the request of former Yukos shareholders was reported by the Dutch edition of NRC. “As long as the Russian Federation ignores the decisions of international courts, we will confiscate Russian state property in accordance with the law. The claim for trademarks in the Netherlands is only the beginning”, the publication quotes Tim Osborne, one of the representatives of the former shareholders of Yukos.

In a statement to the Supreme Court of the Netherlands regarding the cancellation of arbitral awards, filed last week, Russia indicated its intention to petition for the suspension of foreclosure procedures on its state property, the expert noted.
