OREANDA-NEWS Europe must take into account its geographical reality and reconsider relations with Russia in the future, French President Emmanuel Macron said at the international peace conference in Paris, his speech was broadcast on the account of the Elysee Palace on the social network X.

"We need to think about the world in a new form. It is necessary to take into account the geographical reality of Europe, which is not limited to either the EU or, most definitely, NATO. We need to think about a new form of organization of Europe and rethink relations with Russia in the future, as well as peace on this continent," the French leader said.

Macron recalled that the current world order was formed after the Second World War, when there were still some densely populated countries that exist today, therefore, in his opinion, it is incomplete and unfair.

"We need an order in which countries will be adequately represented and, therefore, will do so with the help of much more equitable bodies, be it the United Nations, the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund," the President of the Republic noted, promising to raise this issue at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly next week.
Vladimir Putin has repeatedly criticized the rules-based world order promoted by the West. According to him, no one has seen or written them, which makes it possible for adherents of such a colonial approach to set their own conditions on a case-by-case basis for their own benefit.

The Head of State pointed out the need to form a new world order based on the principles of openness of the economy, justice for all, collective decisions and consideration of the interests of all states. He also stressed that it would not be possible to create it without a sovereign and strong Russia.
