OREANDA-NEWS Two people became victims of shelling of the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Donetsk News Agency. They noted that the shelling was carried out last night.

"As a result of the Ukrainian aggression, one serviceman of the DPR People's Militia was killed, another was seriously injured, two were shell-shocked," the DPR People's Militia said.

According to the ministry, another victim is a civilian. He died at a public transport stop in the village of the mine "Trudovskaya".

Earlier, representatives of the DPR reported that Ukrainian security forces shelled the settlements of Petrovskoye and Staromikhailovka. According to the DPR authorities, the Ukrainian military used shells prohibited under the Minsk agreements. At 06:30, the shelling was conducted from Bogdanovka towards the village of Petrovskoye. In total, the security forces fired 26 mines of a prohibited caliber of 120 millimeters, they also used grenades. This was written by RIA Novosti.

It is also reported that the settlement of Staromikhailovka was shelled, 14 mines were fired. The shooting was conducted from Galitsynovka and was conducted around 07:00.

The authorities of the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR began evacuating the population to Russia on February 18. They explained this decision by the threat of a military offensive from Ukraine. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities deny plans to seize the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
