OREANDA-NEWS Denmark intends to provide the largest package of financial assistance to Ukraine for the purchase of weapons and military equipment for 5.8 billion kronor ($ 833 million). This is reported in a statement on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom.

"The new package of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 5.8 billion Danish crowns will provide the country's military defense with tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, tank ammunition and anti—aircraft guns," the ministry said.

It is noted that 4.3 billion kronor of the allocated amount will be transferred in the current 2023, 1.4 billion kronor — next year, and the remaining 52 million kronor — in 2025.

Earlier, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen promised to allocate financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 300 million Danish crowns (40 million euros) for the restoration of the country.
