OREANDA-NEWS  The Cyprus Council of Ministers decided to extremely tighten quarantine due to the worsening epidemiological situation.

The decision of the Council of Ministers was announced by the Minister of Health of Cyprus, Constantinos Ioannou, his statement was published by the press and information bureau.

From April 26 to May 9 inclusive, the curfew will be in effect from 21.00 to 5.00, meetings are prohibited, you can leave the house once a day by sending a notification, church services will be performed without the presence of believers, with the exception of Easter, all catering (restaurants, taverns , cafes, pubs, eateries and bars) and retail stores, excluding grocery stores.

In Cyprus, in recent days, the number of infected has been growing sharply - over the past day, 927 new cases were detected, one person died, the number of coronavirus victims rose to 296. The island's population is about 800 thousand people.

The Cypriot authorities have introduced emergency measures from November 30, 2020 to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
