Control over Georgian Alcohol in Russia Has Become Tougher
OREANDA-NEWS A Russian state consumer monitor said Monday that it is tightening the quality control of imports of Georgian alcohol arriving in Russia.
The reason for such measures were the increasing occurrence of low-quality wine on the Russian market.
Recall the relationship of Georgia and Russia deteriorated last week. Then the performance of the Russian politician in the Georgian parliament provoked protests.
Moscow’s response followed immediately: Putin has banned Russian airlines from flying to Georgia.
At the time of strained relations, Russia in the past prohibited the import of wine from Georgia.
