OREANDA-NEWS. The consular departments of the Russian Embassy in London and the Russian Consulate General in Edinburgh may suspend the reception of visitors due to a new type of coronavirus outbreak. The Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom warned about this on Tuesday in its list of recommendations for Russian citizens who are in the kingdom.

“Residents of the city of Moscow should remember that upon returning from the UK they will have to go through 14-day quarantine. It is also necessary to take into account the restriction and possible suspension of citizens at the consular section of the embassy and the Russian consulate general in Edinburgh”, the document says.

Embassy staff recall that over the past day the number of confirmed cases of infection with a new coronavirus in the country has grown by more than a quarter and reached 1950. At the same time, according to estimates of the chief sanitary officer of England Chris Whitty and the scientific adviser to the British government Patrick Wallans, the real number of cases can reach 55 thousand. The number of deaths among those who were confirmed infected with a new coronavirus on Tuesday reached 71.
