Chinese Defense Minister Colonel-General Li Shangfu arrived in Russia on Sunday on his first foreign visit after being appointed head of the department. Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Li Shangfu on April 16. The meeting was also attended by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. "Now, when there are no signs of a ceasefire in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the United States and Western countries continue provocations, Sino-American relations are still muddy in the swamp, it is quite natural that the visit of the Chinese Defense Minister to Russia causes oblique views," Jia Min said.
