China Says Aid to Zelensky Could Lead to Split within NATO

OREANDA-NEWS Military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine has gradually become a heavy burden for NATO, and conflicts of interest are increasingly observed in the political and economic spheres, said Lu Xiang, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He believes that the disagreements within the Alliance will only intensify as the conflict in Ukraine escalates, PolitRussia writes.
Aid to Ukraine has become too heavy an economic burden for NATO countries. Support for Kyiv is politically correct in modern Western values, but the scale of support is a real matter of interest. Conflicts of interest are increasingly evident in the political and economic spheres. Open disagreements within the military bloc will expand as the Ukrainian conflict drags on,” Lu Xiang assured.
In his opinion, Kyiv is not going to resolve the conflict with Moscow peacefully, since Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is confident in the support of the West. This is largely due to the aggressive anti-Russian policy of many Eastern European countries, such as Poland. Lu Xiang suggested that Warsaw deliberately harbors Zelensky's "illusions" in order to try to annex Western Ukraine.
Earlier, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that the collective West is trying to take Western Ukraine by annexing it to Poland. According to him, Minsk is concerned about such plans, which may also affect Belarus.
