OREANDA-NEWS The authorities of the People's Republic of China opposed the US sanctions imposed on Russia. According to representatives of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, these restrictions destabilize the situation on the world market. This is reported by TASS.

«The People's Republic of China opposes US sanctions against the Russian Federation, which destabilize the world market, and will protect the interests of it's enterprises», the message says.

Earlier, White House press Secretary Jen Psaki said that the United States does not intend to restrain itself regarding the introduction of new sanctions against Russia in connection with the situation in Ukraine. According to her, the US administration is ready to use additional restrictions, including further exclusion of the Russian Federation from the world economy and tightening of existing restrictions.

The Chinese authorities, in turn, declared their readiness to provide economic assistance to Russia against the background of a special operation in Ukraine. Another interlocutor of the media noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping is determined to support Russia, since, according to the source, the Chinese and Russian authorities share an opinion about the United States as a «global despot».
