OREANDA-NEWS Chicken meat in the Russian Federation for the week from November 28 to December 4 fell in price for the first time since mid-April, eggs and cucumbers continue to rise significantly in price, sugar has fallen significantly, according to Rosstat data.

Chicken meat in the Russian Federation fell in price by 0.09% during the reporting period, a week earlier - from November 21 to 27 - it rose in price by 0.02%, and from the beginning of the year to December 4 - by 30.07%. Meanwhile, the price of it began to decline for the first time since mid-April (minus 0.13% from April 11 to 17).
In turn, chicken eggs added 4.23% against 4.37% a week earlier, and since the beginning of the year they have risen in price by 42.41%, cucumbers have been noticeably increasing in price for the fifth week - 10.38% in the reporting week and 9.65% a week earlier; meanwhile, since the beginning of the year they have fallen in price by 6.03%. The price of sugar decreased by 1.57% during the reporting period, by 0.98% a week earlier, and increased by 12.38% since the beginning of the year.

According to the statistical agency, the increase in prices for fruit and vegetable products averaged 1.9%, as in the week before. Including cabbage and bananas became more expensive by 0.9%, tomatoes and potatoes – by 0.5%, onions, carrots and apples added 0.3%, and beets - 0.2%.
