OREANDA-NEWS The decrease in prices for chicken eggs in the Russian Federation from the beginning of the year to March 25 amounted to 4.68%, chicken meat fell by 3.8%, pork and sunflower oil by 0.83% and 0.42%, respectively, follows from the materials of Rosstat.

According to the statistical agency, chicken eggs fell by 0.56% in the reporting week from March 19 to March 25 (by 4.68% since the beginning of the year), chicken meat rose by 0.13% (since the beginning of the year - fell by 3.8%). Pork prices on average became lower by 0.07%, sunflower oil prices - higher by 0.12% (since the beginning of the year - decreased by 0.83% and by 0.42%).

"(From March 19 to March 25 - ed.), there was a decrease in prices for fruits and vegetables (minus 0.9%), including cucumbers (minus 5.4%), onions (minus 0.3%), tomatoes (minus 0.2%), potatoes and bananas (minus 0.1%). Prices have changed: for table beets - plus 2.7%, carrots - plus 1% and apples - plus 0.9%," the report says.

Granulated sugar rose by 0.67% during the reporting week (from the beginning of the year to March 25 - by 1.98%), ground rice - by 0.09% (from the beginning of the year - by 1.75%). Buckwheat kernels became cheaper by 0.47% (from the beginning of the year - by 4%), wheat flour rose in price by 0.1% (from the beginning of the year - by 1.39%).
