Canada Expands Personal Sanctions Against Russia

OREANDA-NEWS. Canada has expanded personal sanctions against Russian citizens by adding 15 more Russian officials to the list. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the country's government.
The restrictions included the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov, the head of the National Defense Control Center Mikhail Mizintsev and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Vladimir Kasatonov.
Earlier, the UK imposed personal sanctions against Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The list is published on the website of the British Foreign Office.
The list also includes Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, head of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov, deputy secretary of the United Russia General Council Andrey Turchak.
In total, 350 citizens of the Russian Federation were included in the list, they were denied entry and their assets were frozen.
