According to Kouvolan Sanomat, the carrier of the new strain arrived in Finland from the UK to celebrate Christmas. Now doctors are monitoring who the sick person could contact in order to stop the spread of the infection.

For the first time, a new strain of coronavirus has been discovered in the United Kingdom. Viktor Zuev, a virologist at the Gamaleya Center, noted earlier that this COVID-19 mutation is more infectious. At the same time, the specialist urged people not to worry and follow the recommendations of doctors.

A new strain of coronavirus discovered in the UK has begun its journey around the planet. Already four cases of the more contagious form of COVID-19 have been recorded in Canada. Also, the new strain was found in other countries: Canada, Norway, Jordan and South Korea.

Various countries are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of a new strain of coronavirus.
